"For many women, the most dangerous thing is to be at home. It's time to talk"

In a one-minute spot, the Spanish mobile operator Movistar, which has a strong presence in South America, invites Argentinean women to call a dedicated number to talk about the violence they suffer. This video entitled "Door" and signed by the agency VMLY&R in 2019 takes us by surprise. In a dark and anxiety-provoking climate, we hear muffled noises, footsteps, and voices in the background. A woman with an anxious face walks with worried looks behind her. She is short of breath, moves quickly towards her front door looking for her keys, turns the lock, closes the door. Finally, safe... outside...

Relieved, she grabs her cell phone and writes, "Ready!". She now wanders down the street, a message appears on the screen: "For many women, the most dangerous thing is to be at home. It's time to talk." Violence in the home and its escalation is often taboo and silent evil. An invitation to break the silence is literally vital. According to the latest UN figures, 65,000 women were intentionally killed by their spouse, ex-spouse, or family member worldwide in 2017.
